Youngsters threatened with arrest for throwing snow balls.

According to a post I read today on the Yahoo UK news website Crook Neighborhood Police Team in Durham have threatened youngsters with arrest for throwing snow balls.

For as long as any of us can remember when the weather has us all reaching for hat, gloves and scarf's the one thing most youngsters look forward to when it snows is snowball fights, its completely innocent fun. according to the post on Yahoo News by Chris parsons The force say youngsters could be arrested for throwing snowballs at cars, homes or people who do not want to be involved in games.

The message posted yesterday said: "Crook Beat Team are aware that it has been snowing and that people are going to have fun in it, however if anyone is caught throwing snowballs at vehicles or onto the road, they could be arrested. "Likewise, if anyone throws snowballs at person's homes or at people who do not want to be involved in the snow games, they could be arrested and it will be classed as anti-social behavior."

I mean I can understand throwing snowballs at cars thats a huge no-no it may caurse a crash and people could be badly inured or even killed, peoples homes? yes I understand that too thats there property and they may be young babies or elderly who could be very scared if they hear a sudden bang from a snowball hitting there window. But seriously whats the harm with kids having fun with snowballs? Anti-social behaviour? oh please what about the youngsters who go around terrorising people? vandalising propertys ect nothing gets done about them but a snow ball fight?

This story made me laugh it to me it says the police have enough time on their hands to punish kids for trivial things but not enough time for fighting more serious crimes.

What do you think? should children be arrested for having snowball fights or is this just stupid?
